MI Windows

Founded in 1947 in Florida as “Metal Industries,” MI has been in the window and patio door business since their beginning. Their first major plant opened in 1967 in Pennsylvania, and their first vinyl windows rolled off the line in 1981. Since then they’ve begun supplying nearly the entire United States with a network of regional factories, including our local location in Prescott, Arizona. Recently, MI has been working with krypton gas fills, offering an even higher efficiency rating than the industry standard argon gas fill. MI offers the builder, everyday home-owner, or remodeler efficient, stylish options with a variety of colors and glass types available.

In late-2019, it was announced that MI had acquired Milgard Windows & Doors from its parent company of Masco Corporation. Both companies have announced that their product lines are expected to remain separate, but that both manufacturers would benefit from the partnership in terms of production, technology, and customer service. We at Remodel Door are expecting great things from this acquisition, but the process is expected to take some time so keep a watch on our News section for more information as it becomes available!

MI windows and patio doors are constructed of vinyl, and feature Cardinal Low-E glass in a variety of levels, all of which feature argon gas for extra energy efficiency. All of their vinyl products are California Title 24-compliant in their standard configuration. White, “Almond,” and “Adobe” are available vinyl colors. MI also offers a colored extruded layer—the “SuperCap”—on some of their products, allowing for “Architectural Bronze,” silver, and black exterior colors on their frames. All major window and patio door types are available, including multislides within the Energy Core series, with bifold doors being the only exception.

Remodel Door has been in a partnership with MI Windows since 2017. We offer MI windows and patio doors in three series;
– Professional 5000 Series: This is an entry-level series, and is appropriate for both new construction and remodeling projects.
– Homemaker III Series: This is a mid-grade series, and offers more efficiencies and features than the Professional 5000 Series. It is very suitable for the everyday home-owner and remodeler, and is the first to offer MI’s SuperCap feature.
– Energy Core Series: This is a high-grade series, and offers enhanced efficiencies over the Homemaker III. It is suitable for discerning home-owners and remodelers.

Milgard Windows

Milgard Glass Company was founded in 1958 in Tacoma, Washington by the Milgard family, and diversified into aluminum window manufacturing over the next few years. Since 1968, Milgard’s full line of aluminum windows and patio doors has made many advancements in fenestration technology, including cold-weather variants where previously only wood framing was sufficient. Their first vinyl models were introduced in 1989, followed by fiberglass models in 1990. Milgard’s factories cover all aspects of manufacturing windows, from materials like vinyl and fiberglass, to tempered and insulated glass, allowing them to control the quality of almost every aspect of manufacturing. Milgard has grown to be a nation-wide leader in window and door units, and is one of the most widely-used manufacturers here in the Coachella Valley.

Milgard offers a number of product lines in a variety of materials, including vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum, and wood. All of Milgard’s products use Cardinal Low-E glass in a variety of levels, and feature argon gas for extra energy efficiency. All of their vinyl, wood, and fiberglass products are California Title 24-compliant in their standard configuration, while their aluminum and “thermally improved” aluminum can be acceptable with certain upgrades. Milgard offers a great selection of colors on all of their products, including the classic white and modern bronze colors. All major window and most patio door types are available.

Remodel Door has been installing Milgard products since 2017. We offer their windows and patio doors in seven different series;
– Style Line series: This mid-grade vinyl line features clean stylings, a good selection of colors, and the same energy efficient glass setup as all other Milgard products.
– Trinsic series: This high-grade vinyl line boasts a more contemporary design than its peers, offering slimmer profiles and cleaner, flatter lines than more traditional offerings.
– Tuscany series: This high-grade vinyl line is a standard offer for most homeowners here in the Coachella Valley, and is a favorite for retrofitting.
– Quiet-line series: Intended for use near railways, airports, busy downtown streets, and other noisy environments, this vinyl series features a triple-glazed glass construction which reduces noise infiltration into the home.
– Essence series: This high-grade line features wood casing and interior surfacing paired with smooth fiberglass exterior cladding.
– Ultra series: This high-grade fiberglass line is stylish, durable, and easy to maintain.
– Aluminum series: This high-grade aluminum series features a smooth flat profile and three anodized color options. The “thermally improved” variant of this series features a “thermal break” in the frame, reducing energy transfer through the frame, and improving the overall energy efficiency of the unit.

Pella

Pella was founded in 1925 when Peter and Lucille Kuyper purchased the Rolscreen Company in Des Moines, Iowa. A year later they moved to Pella, Iowa, where the company merged with the Kuyper family’s lumber company, and a 95-year window dynasty was born. With over 150 product and design patents, Pella is a nationwide leader in the fenestration market. With their first vinyl offerings beginning in 2003, Pella brings a long history of energy-efficient and durable design practices to a material suitable for Desert use. Pella’s wood products (the Architect and Lifestyle series) offer two unique features not found anywhere else: Pella’s patented Rolscreen integrated window screens, and the Insynctive smart home security integration system. The Lifestyle series also offers integrated wireless electronic shades in most of its models.

Pella offers windows and patio doors in three construction materials; vinyl, fiberglass, and aluminum-clad wood. All of their products feature Cardinal Low-E glass with argon gas for extra energy efficiency. All of their vinyl products are California Title 24-compliant in their standard configuration. Many color options across each product line are available. All major window and patio door types are available, including multi-slides and bifold doors in their Architect series.

Remodel Door and OmniView has been a dealer for Pella since 2019. We offer Pella windows and patio doors in eight series;
– Architect Series – Reserve: Top-tier aluminum-clad wood in a “historical” style, with an impressive amount of customization available.
– Architect Series – Traditional: High-grade aluminum-clad wood in a rustic traditional style.
– Architect Series – Contemporary: High-grade aluminum-clad wood in a sleek contemporary style.
– Lifestyle Series: High-grade aluminum-clad wood in a modern style, and featuring modern advancements like sound-control glass, integrated shades, and integrated smart home security packages.
– Impervia Series: High-grade fiberglass construction, for extra durability.
– 350 Series: High-grade vinyl series. Offers increased energy efficiencies over the 250-series, partially due to its thicker multi-chambered frame.
– 250 Series: Mid-grade vinyl series. Pella’s standard vinyl offering.
– Encompass: Entry-level vinyl series.
